The British Spanish Society inaugural ‘Question Time’ virtual panel discussion on “The Impact of Covid-19 on the UK and Spain”

Both Spain and the UK have been hit hard by the pandemic. What lessons can we learn from the way governments and societies have responded? What will be the longer-term consequences for our economies and communities? How are the educational and cultural sectors responding? What will ‘back to normal’ look like when restrictions on movement are lifted?
To discuss these and other questions raised by British Spanish Society members our panel comprises:
Sir Stephen Wright (London) is a former member of the British Diplomatic Service and served as British Ambassador to Spain in 2003 to 2007. He was Chairman of the BritishSpanish Society from 2007 to 2009 and has since served as Senior Adviser to Mitsui & Co Europe plc
Ana Romero Galan (Madrid), distinguishedi nternational correspondent, and acclaimed author
John Carlin (Barcelona), veteran globe-trotting journalist, garlanded author and commentator
The debate will be hosted and chaired by Jimmy Burns Marañon, Chairman of the BritishSpanish Society.
