On the occasion of the wedding of HRH Prince Henry of Wales and Ms Meghan Markle, the BritishSpanish Society was today honoured in Madrid by his Excellency the British Ambassador to Spain His Excellency Simon Manley CMG.

A certificate  noting the  BritishSpanish Society’s ‘outstanding contribution to the local community in Spain, was collected on behalf of the BSS  by its chairman, Jimmy Burns, during a Garden Party held at the Ambassador’s residence in Puerta Hierro.

Some  200 guests from the British community in Spain watched the BBC’s  coverage of the wedding during the reception which replicated the festive and popular mood  of the Royal wedding with tapas, hamburgers, cakes, English beer and Spanish cava.
