New members are always welcome at the BritishSpanish Society, joining us is easy, simple select the membership which suits you, and sign-up via our website. Your membership is effective immediately, and you can start choosing which events you’d like to attend. 

But what does being a BritishSpanish Society member really mean? 

It is a given that you will have an interest in Spain, maybe you are Spanish living in the UK, or British living in Spain. Maybe you have childhood memories of being immersed in the language and culture of Spain, or simply enjoy travelling there. Our Society aims to create opportunities for you to meet people with Spain as a shared interest. We host a full programme of events designed to explore Spanish gastronomy, culture, arts; music, theatre, dance, literature. We hold regular lectures with partners such as the Instituto Cervantes, and our summer and autumn receptions are fixtures in our members’ calendars. We try to provide events which celebrate different aspects of Spain, and are always keen to hear from members of the types of events they want to attend.

Our members become life-long friends, many for longer than they care to remember. 

Becoming a member has many benefits:

• You will receive a copy of each of La Revista’s quarterly editions, always via email but also a printed copy 
• All our events are discounted for members to attend, on average attendance at 2-3 events per annum covers the cost of your membership
• A joint membership also covers any children under 18, allowing, for example, them to attend the autumn concert at the membership concession discounted rate
• Members receive discounts for partner events
• and priority access to popular events and free events

We are a registered charity so you will also be an integral part of our charitable mission to raise funds to support exceptional young researchers. Whether you choose to make additional personal donations, support the charity through company sponsorship, or simply attend our events your participation helps to fund our annual Scholarship Programme
