The Argentine Ambassador's Residence
Join the Anglo Argentine Society for their annual Christmas concert and party with music from Argentine musician Germán Clavijo (viola), member of the prestigious London Symphony Orchestra in a recital specially created for this occasion, accompanied by Spanish pianist Antonio Oyarzábal.

As customary we will have a Christmas Raffle with tickets available to purchase on the night or online before the event here. All funds raised will help support the work of the Anglo-Argentine Society and the charities it supports.

Argentinian violist Germán Clavijo trained in Buenos Aires with Ljerko Spiller and in London at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. A seasoned chamber musician, he has worked with renowned ensembles, recorded for Classic FM and the BBC, and performed with the Royal Philharmonic and BBC Philharmonic orchestras. Former Principal Viola of the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, he joined the London Symphony Orchestra in 2009, touring globally and recording with artists like Sir Paul McCartney and John Williams. Germán also teaches at the Guildhall School and coaches at Switzerland’s Verbier Festival.
London-based pianist Antonio Oyarzabal, a Guildhall School graduate, has performed at venues such as Wigmore Hall, Royal Albert Hall, and with the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra under Juanjo Mena. He actively gives solo and chamber recitals across the UK, Europe, and the US. Known for his dedication to works by women composers, he has released five acclaimed albums, including La Muse Oubliée and El Fin del Silencio, earning praise from BBC Music Magazine and Fanfare. Named an Ambassador for Donne UK, he is set to debut with the National Orchestra of Spain in November 2024.
