BritishSpanish Society member, and regular supporter of our scholarship fundraising, Ana Bridgewater is once again taking part in Clerkenwell Design Week. 

Artist and designer Ana Bridgewater returns to Clerkenwell Design Week 2025 with a new chapter in her evolving lighting journey. While her highly anticipated 3D-printed Bio Corallo installation has been postponed due to limited access to affordable printing technology, Bridgewater is unveiling a new, architectural lighting concept that builds on her signature organic approach.

Her latest collection introduces a modular light system designed to integrate seamlessly into interiors through tile-like or brick forms. Offering both bespoke and adaptable modular op-tions, this innovative lighting solution merges sculptural aesthetics with functional design, inviting a new dialogue between light, space, and material.

The Bio Corallo project a unique, printable porcelain composite developed in collaboration with studio Lowpoly-remains an important research milestone for Bridgewater. Although the physical installation will debut later than planned, the underlying vision continues to inform her work, blending biophilic inspiration with sustainability and craftsmanship.

Bridgewater’s designs reflect a deep commitment to material intelligence and low-impact production. She continues to use local resources, uphold a no-plastic policy, and strive for minimal waste across all her creations. Her work has been featured in The Independent, The Guardian, Elle Decoration, and You Magazine, and she has collaborated with The National Trust, Petersham Nurseries, and the Spanish Embassy.

While the full realization of Bio Corallo will take more time, Bridgewater’s presence at CDW25 marks a meaningful evolution in her practice, one rooted in adaptability, resilience, and an unwavering pursuit of sustainable beauty in design.
