Join curators at Leighton House for a private tour of their current exhibition Leighton and Landscapes: Impressions from Nature.
This first major exhibition of Frederic Leighton’s small landscape oil sketches, painted en plein air as he travelled, reveals the celebrated Victorian artist in a new light. Discover a spontaneous, experimental artist who took the road less well trodden by his contemporaries, documenting the places he encountered. Created between 1856 up until his death in 1896, see over 60 artworks, including his exquisite depictions of the Spanish countryside.
Doors open at 9:15am; tour starts promptly at 9:30am and finishes at 10:30am. Guests are welcome to visit the historic house after the tour.
Maximum of 15 participants. Pre-booked attendance only.
