Celebrating the Scottish poet Robert ‘Rabbie’ Burns we will hear speeches, maybe some poetry, address the haggis, eat a traditional Burns night supper, taste a wee dram of whisky, and we may even hear the distant sound of bagpipes coming down the glen.
Our menu for the evening starts with exquisite langoustine from Macduff Shellfish, haggis shipped in from Crombies in Edinburgh due to their reputation as supplying the ‘best haggis in the city’, shortbread for the ‘something sweet’ from the 125+ year old brand Walker’s, and whisky from one of the last family distilleries in Scotland – Glenfiddich.
Bring your dancing shoes – if you have the energy we’ll end the evening with a ceilidh!
Please dress to impress, black tie (or smart suits), tartan and kilts encouraged!
If you experience any problems with your booking please contact Lisa on info@britishspanishsociety.org
As a charity we rely on our events to generate funds for the scholarship programme. We rely on the generosity of our members, corporate supporters and friends and hope you understand that any non-attendance to our events will be treated as a donation to our charity. Thank you for your support.
