Penshurst Church is delighted to host five up and coming young pianists from the Trinity Laban Conservatory in Greenwich London. These music students are starting out on their careers and will be playing on the recently purchased Bluthner in the beautiful surroundings of Penshurst Church.
The series takes us through European Romantic piano from Chopin and Schubert to Boulanger, Scriabin and De Falla. These young pianists will show their formidable piano technique in four concerts each starting at 7.30 pm and finishing around 9.30/10.00pm.
This is a chance to hear a selection of really talented newcomers showcasing the most beautiful and approachable classical music. Tickets only £8 per event (plus booking fee) or £25 for all four recitals (for a season ticket please contact robertrees3@aol.com). Concessions available for children and music students.

Aida Rodríguez Ramos was born and raised in Avilés, Spain. She studied both elementary and medium levels at Conservatorio Julián Orbón, with Ana María Fernández Pico. After that, she started her bachelor studies at Conservatorio Eduardo Martínez Torner (Oviedo), where she finished her first two years, and at the moment she is studying her third year at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, with Elena Riu, within the Erasmus Programme
Alique Khambatta is a student at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London. Born and raised in India, she began piano lessons at the Academy of Music with Roxana Anklesaria at the age of five, and currently learns under Venezuelan pianist and pedagog, Elena Riu. She has won competition prizes internationally since 2009, and has played in ensemble and solo masterclasses in academies in Germany, Britain, Greece and the USA. In January 2019, Alique was awarded the highest score in the country Trinity College of Music (London) Recital exam
