Logging with talent: Reckless Sleepers presents A String Section at Veranos de la Villa 2024

British dance and theatre company Reckless Sleepers have created a lavish, captivating and humorous ritual: a quirky, beautiful and self-destructive choreography full of character and symbolism, all depending on where it is performed. This is A String Section , a piece in which five women, all dressed in black, appear seated on five chairs. They look as elegant as the string section of a symphony orchestra, but they are equipped with saws instead of bows and violins. Their mission is quite simple: to cut off the legs from under them.
